REPORT OF THE PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE ON THE AUDIT FINDINGS FOR GWERU CITY COUNCIL [download]

The Committee was informed that, Gweru City Council was only receiving beer levy from Delta while Ingwebu Breweries was neither paying beer levy nor submitting sales schedules to the Council. The absence of sales schedules from Ingwebu Breweries was making it difficult for Gweru City Council to ascertain what had been remitted to it as beer levy. It was further gathered that Gweru City Council was receiving the beer levy from Delta on a cash basis.
