The Harare Commission of Inquiry is investigating various areas of Council and seeks the input of anyone with information.

Below are the stated areas in which they seek information and how you can give it.

Financial Management Systems and Audit Compliance: Compliance with the Public Finance Management Act.

Revenue Management: Financial management of revenue generated through special vehicle companies and outsourced arrangements.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system: Reasons for the failure to operate an ERP system and the quantification of any resultant losses.

Property Management Procedures: Procedures for the management, sale, lease or transfer of councils properties to private entities.

Council Meeting Procedures. Convening of council meetings and adherence to standing orders and rules.

Procurement Law Compliance: Compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act.

Any other issues related to the above dealing with the management of Harare City Council.

Submission should be sent to the Commission’s Office and addressed to the Chairperson, Old Makombe Building, Corner Herbert Chitepo Avenue and Harare Street by 5 June or emailed to ha***************************@gm***.com .

The submission must include one’s contact information and other relevant documentation that supports given statements.
