The policy has been compiled in compliance with the Urban Councils Act[Chapter (29:15)] which requires the adoption of a credit control and debt collection policy, which is consistent with the Municipality’s tariffs policiesand which complies with the Act.
The policy aims to ensure that the Municipality’s approach to debt recovery/enforcement mechanism is sensitive, transparent and is equitably applied throughout the Municipality’s geographical area.
