The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has arrested Harare Town Clerk, Engineer Hosiah Chisango on charges of criminal abuse of duty.
Chisango is accused of conniving with four other already arrested Council officials to unprocedurally award a US$9,2m street lights deal to Juluka Endo Venture.
The company is owned by the arrested duo of Mike Chimombe and Moses Mpofu.
The Town Clerk is expected to appear in court on 25 July, 2024.
Harare senior officials Never Murerwa, Jabulani Mukomazi, Denford Zhungu and Tawanda Mutenhabudo were arrested first two weeks ago.
They followed after the initial arrest of Mike Chimombe and Moses Mpofu.
