The only sitting ZANU PF councilor in Bulawayo, Kidwell Mujuru says his party is targeting at least 10 council seat from the 2023 elections.
Mujuru, from ward 29, said “The people are not happy with service delivery.
“The residents deserve better, they are not happy of the service delivery in the city.
“As ZANU PF, we are working hard and campaigning to garner at least five to ten councilors for the ruling party,” he said.
Speaking on his projects, Mujuru said he is continuing with the borehole drilling and nutritional gardens.
“The new dispensation has brought great change in Cowdry Park.
“When I was elected in 2019 there was no development here.
“We had no clinics and proper roads and kombis were charging a dollar citing poor roads.
According to the 2022 census, Cowdry Park with 75 070 people, is the second most populous urban ward in the country after Harare’s Ward 43 (Budiriro) which has 89 287.
Cowdry Park has over 26 000 stands including residential, commercial and industrial.
