A major shakeup within Marondera council is threatening service delivery following the relocation of several employees to the diaspora.

Since January, Marondera has lost two employees leading crucial departments resulting in a major shake up.

First to leave was Nurse-In-Charge Levison Mpofu who relocated to Europe.

Then Housing Director Justin Chivavaya who has also left for greener pastures.

Open Council has it on good authority that Chivavaya has been replaced by Town Planner Never Besa

Besa is the Acting Housing Director.

Thomas Ndoro, the Estates Manager is now the Acting Chamber Secretary.

This follows the elevation of Rinashe Nyamuzihwa to the post of Town Clerk.

One Munyebvu is now leading the Town Planning Department in consultation with Besa.

To replace Mpofu, Anzikaria Magorokosho is now the acting Nurse-In-Charge.

Speaking during a Full Council meeting recently, councillors agreed that the vacant posts be advertised and be filled with substantive employees.

The country has been losing thousands of experienced human personnel as the economy continues in a free-fall.

Many have been emigrating to the UK and other European countries.
