Seke Ward 5 winning councilor Alice Tsingano remains in police custody even as other Councilors were sworn in this week.
Tsingano was arrested on allegations of inciting violence made by ZANU PF MP candidate Tobias Maoresa Kashamba.
She was arrested along with three other female activists.
The four have been denying the charges.
According to Tsinga on 20 July, she was assaulted by ZANU PF members led by Tafadzwa Chitate in the Besa area of Seke Constituency.
Tsingano reported the incident at the Ziko Police Post, but the ZRP officers failed to take any action.
Instead she was to be arrested on 10 August after Maoresa allegedly exerted influence on the police.
Meanwhile Tsingano still managed to win the election while in police custody.
Her case remains pending.
